Is this Retreat for me (con't)?
We do give some priority to individuals facing advanced cancers or confronting a re-occurrence. But please, also talk to us if you are recently out of treatments but are grappling with "what's next".
Here are additional details:
- Unless otherwise stated, Cancer Wellness Retreats start Thursday at 4PM and go through Sunday at 2PM.
- All meals, lodging (two participants share a room), and activities are included.
- Retreats range in size from 6-10 participants, for a personal and sharing atmosphere.
- These retreats are about providing complementary techniques to your medical care to improve your overall health and well being.
Application Process
We respond to all inquiries (by phone and/or by email), however we are not able to accept all applicants.
Couple of noteworthy details:
- We are not a medical facility so it is important each person is able to handle his or her own medical needs, and is able to walk up and down stairs and gravel paths. (We can talk more about this during our application process as needed).
- We welcome men and women with all types of cancer and all faith traditions, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and economic backgrounds.
- These retreats are for the person living with cancer only.
- A majority of participants are between 25 - 55 years old.
- Most of our participants are from the Carolina's and immediately surrounding states, we do welcome applicants nation-wide for a few spaces.
- Each Retreat is unique and emphasizes diverse group dynamics for sharing purposes.
- Each participant is responsible for his or her own transportation to and from our property. Some people have carpooled where possible. (see The Grounds for information on our proximity to various cities)
