Our Program helps individuals reduce their anxiety and renew their outlook on life. These retreats are hosted by Dave and Shannon and take place from their home and property in the foothills of Western NC. (This is an application process - much more information can be found on the Cancer Retreat page. 

All of the Cancer Retreats are Sponsored by Wind River Spiritual Center*, a 501(c)3 non profit organization designed to support others promote their overall health and well-being.  Dontations are welcome in support of these Retreat Services.

• Community work day at Wind River!   Many of you have expressed a desire to better support our cancer wellness retreats.  We’ll supply shovels, hoes, wheel barrels, cleaning supplies (indoor and outdoor work) .  You provide the “talent".

  Seriously, great effort goes into preparing the property, house and cabin for our cancer participants.  If you are up for a day of service, we could use your help.  We will break for lunch by the creek!

Workshop Summary: We often feel overwhelmed and unsure when confronted with decisions, big and small. In this fun, hands-on workshop, you will learn how to better navigate through choices and flow gracefully through change, by accessing the divine wisdom of your inner compass. Part of this session is devoted to guided imagery for healing.

NC Cancer Survivorship Summit

June 24 - 26.  Charlotte, NC

This event is supported by wonderful cancer support organizations from across all of North Carolina.  Wind River is on the planning committee.  More information on this event will be available later this Spring.  In the meanwhile, mark your calendars for a great two day conference with survivors and health care professionals!
